The Metallisation range of standard handling equipment is offered for use by the thermal spray contract/job shop. The range offers rotating and scanning facilities allowing a wide range of components to be automatically coated.

Complete metal spraying rooms can be built capable of accommodating the largest components, housing an automatic machine or to enclose a metal spraying area. These are exhausted by a wet dust collection unit, with optional sound proofing offered.

Component preparation prior to metal spraying is all important, the generally established method of surface preparation is by grit blasting. The two main methods used are: Syphon Blasting, where the girt is fed into the airstream by suction, and, Pressure Blasting where the grit or abrasive is fed into the airstream under pressure. Syphon type equipment is usually employed where the rates of production are small, whilst pressure type equipment is normally in large scale operations in terms of either component numbers or size. Metallisation Ltd can offer pressure or Syphon Blasting cabinets, portable pressure pots, abrasive lifting and cleaning units as well as complete blasting rooms.

The application of applying an anticorrosive coating onto the surface of LP&HP Gas Bottles was recognized by Metallisation Ltd as an area where, as requirements have increased, the need to automate became essential. Metallisation Ltd now design, manufacture and install a range of semi and fully automated machines to meet individual customer requirements. The facility to interface these machines with the preceding grit blasting and the final paint finishing stations is an option.
